Business Analyst (Asset Management Operations)

BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS): WE ARE URGENTLY SEEKING A SEASONED

BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) for a long-term and stable project in Brussels.

The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) will ideally conform to most of the following profile:

- Proven experience in performing business analyses including gathering and developing business requirements;
- Proven experience in translating business requirements into functional requirements;
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have at least 5-10 years of experience in working in the asset management industry and should be well aware of the chain of events from Front to Back Office;
- Understanding the Asset Management operating model is a pre-condition;
- From a business analyses and change management point of view the BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have experience in or have knowledge about:

project management (ie Prince2), business process design and optimization, operating models (asset management industry), delivering functional interface designs; - TheBUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have strong analytical skills and should be able to share analyses with users, lead analysts, developers and project management.
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) must be a partner to the business;
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have strong communication skills (verbally and in writing) including communicating various levels of detail appropriate to the audience;
- Problem solving skills as frequent and random changes will come up during the various stages of the project;
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have decision preparation skills including decision documentation preparation;
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have proven experience in system implementation and process improvement projects within Buy Side firms;
- Knowledge of complex processes and expertise in rationalizing and improving these complex and manual processes.
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) has experience in various operational processes like Corporate Action processing, Collateral Management, Exchange Traded Derivative margining, Cash Management and Reconciliations;
- Full understanding of the events originating from these operational processes is required;
- Experience in working with Managed Service Providers, Custodians and Clearing Brokers is a pre.
- The BUSINESS ANALYST (ASSET MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS) should have expert knowledge about financial products and their life cycle events (eg Equities, Government and Corporate Bonds, Mortgage and Asset Backed Securities, Equity Swaps/CFD's, CDS, IRS, Futures and Options, Bank Debt, FX Forwards).
