Business Analyst - Asset Management, ITIL V3 - NSW Government

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BUSINESS ANALYST A to join a large State Government Department. You will be responsible for analysis, requirements gathering, selection, development and delivery of integrated solutions for large and complex projects and programs

Duties will include:

- Support service providers and key stakeholders to transition Incident, Problem, Change and Asset Management business practices to new best practice ITIL v 3 processes supported by the selected ITSM and Asset Management Solutions.
- Support the definition of data fields and processes required to collect accurate asset related information including hardware and software data.
- Assist in the development and review of policies and processes for the new system.
- Drive the design, documentation and development of business requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models that support key business processes and systems.

Skills and experience required to be considered for this position:

- Extensive knowledge and experience in implementing ITIL 3 based processes
- Knowledge and experience in the definition and implementation of ITSM services, processes and service catalogue and fulfilment process
- Experience in the implementation of software and hardware asset management in the role of a business analyst
- High level experience as a business analyst in developing business requirements from abstract briefs and preparing functional specifications with complex or large information systems

This role will initially be until 30/06/2014 with the possibility of an extension being offered.
