The Role

Business Analyst to provide professional, analytical skills within the change life cycle on the WorldPay Transformation programme. The aim is to translate business opportunities into detailed requirements that will deliver the prescribed benefits to the agreed budget, time & quality. This role adds value by being the most efficient conduit between the business requester and the providers of the capabilities.
The main function of this role is to understand, gather, analyse, agree and fully document the business requirements, and to maintain their integrity throughout the project life cycle, from idea conception through to deployment. The BA will liaise with the project team to ensure the needs of the organisation are understood and met fully at all levels, and will support other functional areas in the completion of their tasks.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide expert knowledge around agile/scrum methodologies.
- Lead and manage the project stakeholders through the analysis phase, by facilitating interviews and workshops to identify changes to business processes and/or new processes.
- Analyse the views captured and work with stakeholders to refine the actual business needs, identifying any problems and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Clearly define a comprehensive set of business requirements and business rules for a project in line with the prescribed WorldPay business analysis methodology.
- Log any risks, issues, dependencies and constraints in accordance with WorldPay project methodologies.
- Work with the project team to define solutions, assess the suitability, cost and risk of each and recommend an option to the project sponsor.
- Manage traceability throughout the change life cycle, ensuring that each delivery stage of the project is meeting the business requirements.
- Hold business walkthroughs with other skill centres to ensure understanding of the project by other areas.
- Manage change requests and other amendments to the requirements through strict version control.
- Liaise with other members of the project team to support them in the completion of their deliverables, such as solution designs, technical specifications, test plans, deployment plans etc, and sign off these deliverables.
- Understand and work within change delivery governance structures.
- Act as Cross Discipline Liaison
- Interact with the Project Sponsor to understand the business drivers and gain support as needed.
- Interact with the Architecture team to ensure requirements and proposed solutions are aligned with the WorldPay architecture.
- Work with Design, Development and Testing teams to ensure they understand the business requirements.
- Interact with Operations and Production teams to ensure operational understanding of a project's impact and ensure readiness for deployment.
- Ensure that Business Process Models are created, maintained and updated.
- Work with the Business Analysis team to ensure that the team is following best industry practice in business analysis, including updating BA methodologies, processes and deliverables.
- Plan and schedule own work effectively, within the context of overall resourcing demands.
- Produce progress reports where appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism to promote credibility and integrity in relation to the Business Analysis function.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in developing Use cases and User Stories.
- Strong experience in an agile/scrum environment.
- Experience of full end-to-end project life cycle from Inception to Delivery.
- Influencing/networking developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others opinions and actions.
- Professional communications making oneself understood, sharing information, listening to and encouraging others to get involved.
- Analysis, creativity and innovation able to conceive original and practical solutions to complex and business critical problems.
- Understand at a high level the interface between complex business needs and the complex legal and regulatory environment in which the business operates.
- Adaptable and able to adopt change.
- Ability to absorb and understand information quickly.
- Ability to juggle priorities, multi-task and flawlessly execute at speed.
- Sound commercial judgment and overall understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
- Understand and comply with the requirements of Change Methodologies.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools including Visio.
- Appropriate Analysis & Design Methods & Techniques including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Estimating.
- Knowledge of and some experience of project management.
- Business Process Management.
