Business Analyst will be working with sophisticated investment teams that manage a range of complex products. This is a hands on role which includes specifications and functional tests definition for the features of an existing solution for data Modeling, named Liability Driven Investments Front Office (LDIFO). The normal work location is the Amsterdam Office. LDIFO is an intermediate layer between database and existing Front Office Modeling application (AIMMS), which is responsible for portfolio analysis, management and risk. Responsibility of LDIFO includes - get data from various sources, persisting enriched data (in Oracle). The BA would be expected to participate to all team meetings and s/he will be the business contact in order to analyze and specify properly the features and its functional tests.

The Business Analyst will:

- Gather and validate business requirements, based on discussion with the business stakeholders
- Prioritize requirements, and understand the effort involved
- Participate in the planning process along with the development team and the business stakeholders
- Communicate with stakeholders (such as end users, other teams within the organization or external data providers) in order to arrive at a solution design
- Document the solution design at a functional level, and communicate this to the development and test team. He/she will completely involved ASAP in the functional tests with the development in order to improve our quality and efficiency
- Co-ordinate with the tests to ensure that functional requirements are fully covered in testing
- Co-ordinate and participate in UAT testing with business stakeholders, leading to UAT sign-off
- Train end users on new features

Mandatory/Obligatoires

Sufficient domain knowledge/experience to understand, query and validate business requirements, and track these through the development process.

Specifically:

o Detailed understanding of the investment process, including research, analysis, modelling, risk, performance and portfolio construction; understanding of liability driven investment.

o Strong knowledge about financial instruments and related information (eg ratings), to be able to understand how this information is modeled and transmitted by various data sources.

o In depth knowledge of the requirements and processes of the following businesses: asset allocation, global balanced risk modelling, strategy application and portfolio construction techniques, absolute return products, fiduciary management

Others: experience on SQL, Excel, VBA and data base design is mandatory
