Business Analyst
The Department:
At Finance Change we work across the entire CFO division to ensure that we execute the strategic design and implementation of any major changes to our processes and systems.
In partnership with our key stakeholders, we work to create cutting-edge business solutions using our deep functional expertise.
We aim to deliver strategic initiatives using leading project management and business analysis as we pursue our goal of protecting and enhancing shareholder value through optimizing the use of our financial resources.
The Project(s):
The New Group Reporting Structure is aimed towards making the current architecture more flexible towards future reorganizations. As part of the scope of the project, our current ERP Solution (PeopleSoft GL) will be enhanced with detailed MI information, to make this solution the central point for all Legal and MI data.
Reduce the dependencies towards other systems
In addition, to improve the process of gathering of data and improve the allocation process by ensuring the MI information is properly captured and distributed amongst the Finance Systems landscape.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Experience Range - 4 to 8 years
To work as a Business Analyst within the project
Responsible for the gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required
Preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements
Preparation of test plans, test cases, co-ordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
Execution of specific test cases
Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
Functional experience with ERP solutions
Strong Business Analysis skills
Hands-on experience on ERP system, including configuration and deployment
Experience in accounting, or has a good understanding of financial/management accounting and has worked extensively with users in this area
Experience in problem solving with end users
Some knowledge in banking products
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisation skills
Has initiative and is pro-active
Good presentation/documentation skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Good team player
Ability to analyse a complex problem and identify potential solutions by exploring and analysing diverse alternatives, including, where applicable, risks and potential business impact
