Business Analyst
Scope
As the Business Analyst you are responsible for translating the business needs in an exhaustive business requirements document (SDS). You are responsible for managing Business Acceptance (BA) activities.
Key responsibility areas
Secures the availability of exhaustive and qualitative business requirements and ensures it meets the business needs of the different project stakeholders
During project core team meetings, gathers and documents requirements to understand and document complex business needs, often eliciting hidden requirements and/or clarifying vague or unclear requirements
Creates the business requirements document which is an exhaustive written study of all facets of business, user, functional or non-functional requirements and provides insight into both the as-is and to-be states of the business area
For already defined requirements, challenges the coherence and quality of the business requirements
In agreement with the project manager, defines the format and the scope of the BA
Manages business acceptance testing to obtain buy-in and sign off from stakeholders prior to implementation
Develops the strategy for BA scripts / use cases plans according to the business acceptance criteria
Writes BA scripts/cases and scenarios with accuracy, completeness and sequencing and ensures it is aligned, communicated and approved by all business stakeholders
Ensures that detailed BA scripts/cases, scenarios and instructions are available for test users prior to the start of testing and that the testing takes places within agreed deadlines
Provides tests progress reports to the project managers
Coordinates the test users (from business teams) during the BA phase
Ensures that issues identified during BA are logged and follows their progress till the resolution
Feeds the Release Management process by ensuring the Business Acceptance criteria results are up to date and ready to be used in the frame of the global GO / NO GO of an IT release
When required, supports end user training sessions and workshops
Skills and Experience
You have a Bachelor or Master degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
You have experience in UAT and Business Requirements Specifications and a good command of HP testing suite (e.g. Quality Center) software.
You have experience in software quality assurance and you easily understand business requirements and translate them to UAT cases
You have strong methodical and analytical skills
The knowledge in business analysis (BABOK) and UML is an asset
You are a good and effective communicator, with well-developed presentation skills and able to develop relationships with others on a collaborative and dynamic way.
You are able to give advice and be persuasive and assertive when needed.
You have an eye for details and you like to work under pressure.
You master (oral and in writing) at least FR/EN or NL/EN but ideally FR/NL/EN
