For our banking client we are currently looking for a Business Analyst:

START: ASAP
DURATION: 9 months
LOCATION: Zürich

Our client requires to communicate securely with 3rd Party organisations and individuals (eg Clients or Prospects) via services such as Email, file exchange, file collaboration, instant messaging and audio and video conferencing. Partial solutions exist already, but the aim of the Secure External Collaboration Program is to address the full requirements. The main body of work is about establishing the business requirements for the services above, engaging with potential vendors, determining solution(s) and implementing them.

Work is already underway to gather, analyse and document the requirements from the key stakeholders. Once completed and approved, vendor engagement will start including Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stages for individual or sets of services. An experienced Business Analyst is required to lead the process of concluding the business requirements capture, and support their assessment against vendor offerings.

The Business Analyst role is required to:
1. Liaise with business stakeholders to lead the capture and elaboration of the requirements, and achieve consensus and approval of the documented requirements.
2. Support the compilation of the Request(s) for Information, and Request(s) for Proposal to be issued to participating vendors.
3. Liaise with other Program stakeholders (eg Service & Product Management, Service Domain Architects) to obtain their input to the process.
4. Support the evaluation of vendor responses (from a functional requirements perspective), and contribute to evaluation reports and recommendations for solutions.
5. Lead the production of business analysis documentation required by our client Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
6. Manage an existing Business Analyst whose role it is to support the above activities and manage the documentation.
7. Report regularly on progress, risks and issues to the program manager.

Skills required:
- Experienced business analyst with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach. Ideally, some experience of managing teams - a blend of business analysis and management skills is desirable.
- Experience of vendor engagements and RFI/RFP processes for IT products and services.
- Domain (SME) knowledge of secure communication services is highly desirable - from a business and user perspective.
- Some knowledge of the market and current vendors for such services is desirable.
- Good stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders in pursuit of project objectives.
- Excellent communication skills (both orally and in writing) - including to stakeholders in senior roles.
- Attention to detail.
