Business Analyst

Our client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Business Analyst to join their finance team for a period of 6 months initially.

The Edinburgh based BA position on offer is to support the build of the External Reporting function which is responsible for statutory and regulatory reporting to the PRA and EBA such as COREP and FINREP as well as Bank of England returns.

A critical part of the work is to define, agree and document the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the External Reporting function. There will also be a certain degree of involvement in system testing & proving. Regulatory reporting requirements are changing rapidly and a critical aspect is therefore to ensure that any mandatory new requirements are captured and dealt with in a satisfactory manner.

Role Details

Reporting to the External Reporting Delivery Lead, the BA is responsible for supporting the end to end stand-up of the External Reporting function. This will include (but will not be limited to) supporting the delivery of the Target Operating model, business processes, technology, testing, proving and migration as well as all project management activities.

Essential Experience:

*University degree level academic background (professional qualification in accounting or business analysis desirable)
*At least 5 years of Financial Services experience
*Understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
*Familiarity with process modelling, workshop facilitation and business analysis
*E2E TOM experience, including the ability to both design and deliver
*Ability to document processes in a clear and concise manner
*Proven background in business change within Financial Services (preferably within Finance). Experience in full project life cycle and end-to-end project management
*Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio experience
*Stakeholder management and engagement to ensure successful, sustainable change.
