PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Business Execution Team is responsible for driving continuous improvement and excellence through analysis and delivery of initiatives that move the retail organization forward and align with the larger strategic Business objectives
Identify best practices through process, business & system analysis and implement solutions that can then be deployed and owned by the Business
Lead data conversion and testing assurance for Capital and O&M projects and initiatives
Lead and manage spend, priority, governance and oversight of technology investments and the Retail Roadmap to ensure alignment with Retail strategy
Partner with IT to deliver technology solutions to the Business

This role reports up through Retail Operations but supports all business lines, commodities and functional areas throughout the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Portfolio Prioritization
Partners with Business Demand Managers to review, understand, prioritize and schedule AWRs
Own and manage active list of prioritized AWRs and ensure priorities are maintained and communicated to IT and Business Demand Managers
Work with the Business Demand Managers to understand AWR priorities and collaborate amongst teammates to create a consolidated priority list by system
Engage with the Business Demand Managers on an on-going basis to provide immediate support when an issue arises
Support Project Team Initiatives
Coordinate Functional Group Leads to create Business Stories by gathering detailed information that align to the Project Plan
Work with IT to ensure proper interpretation of the Business Stories and contribute to the project solution
Take ownership of assigned project tasks including adding and revising tasks as needed to support the project
Coordinate Functional Group Leads to define stories of proposed Projects
Participate in creation of the Business Case to request funding for Capital and O&M Projects
Provide input and assistance on the Change Management Plan
Process Improvements and Business Solutions
Lead process improvement projects associated with process inefficiencies and/or new initiatives currently not imbedded in day-to-day operations
Think big picture to help the business identify potential process improvements that do not require any system enhancements
Provide Strategic Solutions by working with the Business to address issues or concerns
Contribute to Testing Efforts
Assist in testing efforts to ensure accurate, efficient, seamless & Business-accepted code deployment to meet the needs of Power, Gas Demand Response and Mass Markets
Participate in QA/QC testing with feedback loop to IT and Testing Coordinator

POSITION SCOPE
Identify key factors that provide a measure of the position's impact on the organization.
Responsibilities span Retail Power, Gas, Demand Response, Mass Markets and occasionally Wholesale
This team supports all business lines, commodities and functional areas of the business and must have working knowledge of all core systems used within the various businesses as well as testing and data tools and systems
Team members reside in various locations for onsite support
Position allows for a great deal of independence - strategic planning, decision making, prioritization, high visibility as it relates to a large capital and O&M spend, etc.
Internal contacts with every functional area and leadership throughout the retail business

SKILLS:

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge of both the retail and wholesale business
3+ years energy sector experience
Project Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in a Business, Information Technology, Engineering or other related field
Comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry and retail operations and an understanding of the end to end processes and controls
Ability to effectively manage workload and meet aggressive deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving
Demonstrated ability to think strategically
Proven ability to be a key contributor to a discussion and drive decision making
Demonstrated success in establishing departmental relationships and networks
Experience with participating in change management efforts
Ability to communicate business needs effectively to the IT department
