Our client located in Atlanta, GA is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join their team.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for helping our client's departments bring ideas to life through requirements gathering, workflow definitions, risk identification and mitigation discussions and all analysis and support activities required to bridge the gap between ideas and technical delivery. The candidate will have superior oral and written skills which can directly and immediately be applied to projects. Such projects involve the development of new applications, processes or initiatives or the substantial modification of existing applications, processes or initiatives. Projects may also involve major changes in resources (equipment, staff, organization) and basic changes in methods and techniques employed. The business solutions specialist is responsible for helping define and certify requirements and functional objectives as defined or delegated by the business teams and for the timely and economic utilization of resources assigned to the project.
The position provides technical coordination of project teams, but not direct administrative supervision. Project teams range in size from three to ten analysts, designers, programmers, and other specialized data processing and user staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Responsible for activities and the results of those activities specifically assigned and agreed upon
- Completes assigned projects in a timely manner, within project resources
- Meets project objectives, providing systems that operate in a cost-effective manner
- Ensures minimal disruption of ongoing systems by good coordination and effective project output integration with existing systems
- Provides good guidance to project team members, so that their abilities and project quality are enhanced
- Keeps management informed of project progress and problems, particularly as to needed changes in schedule, resources, or product
- Escalates and refers all projects beyond scope of authority
- Consults with and advises development areas on applications in area of responsibility
- Maintains appropriate expertise to ensure effective service level
- Responds to problems and queries in a timely, effective manner
- Communicates with divisional user personnel and management on problem and project status as appropriate
- Secures approvals on specifications and project completion as appropriate

JOB DUTIES:

- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), iii.
- Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
- Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Fulfills additional duties as assigned
- Is available for travel

JOB EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years' work experience, four (4) of which must have been in business analysis
- Specialized education and experience may be interchanged on a one-for-one basis
- Thorough familiarity with technical and business documentation tools and analysis
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
- Experience in project planning and technical coordination, as an analyst, or as a leader of a subtask of a major project
- Knowledge of travel or franchise operations is desirable
- Parking industry experience preferred
