Business Analyst

SUMMARY:

- This position works in multiple systems to provide service and reporting to over 8,500 dealer users, over 125 internal users, and customers.
- It provides definition, business analysis, and implementation of significant multi-phased projects.
- Individual provides business solutions to the assigned area, researches and assists in design of systems to support business processes.
- Develops and provides training to employees and dealers.
- This position is a B.A role, but will also be customer facing with dealer line, and reporting.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reviewing various audit reports to identify trends and/or other areas of concern.
- Identifying and tracks input and processing errors within various systems used by assigned business area.
- Performing analysis and reporting.
- Organizing and analysing errors to identify their root causes and determine viable solutions (ie system improvements, triggering errors, mapping errors, human errors, training needs, etc.)
- Coordinating with business area management to define the scope, deliverables, and controls of projects for new and existing application development technologies and software capabilities.
- Ensuring new technology capabilities are compatible with the current application software architecture and the current technical architecture.
- Working with other staff to research available technologies to be used for current and future business applications and systems.
- Assisting in designing and integrating new business technologies into new and existing environments.
- Developing the specifications for business systems enhancements or modifications and communicating the business area user needs to the IS staff.
- Developing and maintaining training materials, technical documentation, standards and procedures.
- Providing training support of applications to end user community as needed.
- Participating in performing system testing of enhancements and ensuring user acceptance testing is completed.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of analytical experience, Prior experience with month-end and ad hoc reporting, MS Excel, BOBJ, Remedy, Customer Services experience.
- A 4-year college or university degree in any discipline and a minimum of 4 years exempt experience in information services, contract administration, credit, customer services, collections, marketing, finance, accounting, insurance and/or project planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business area systems, applications and processes, more specifically, how they inter-relate.
- Demonstrated ability to train and advise employees on the processes and procedures of the business area.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead process improvement or development teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify systems deficiencies and recommend new technology to correct the deficiencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems operations sufficient to analyze systems for implementation applicability in the business area.
- Demonstrated knowledge of documentation and flowcharting techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to perform acceptance testing and ensure business technology supports the business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to make various types of presentations to all levels of the Client organization and dealers.
- Working knowledge of finance/leasing products, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply project leadership and project management skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced degree preferred.
- Troubleshooting/helpdesk experience is a plus
- TS2 systems or ADM is a plus.
- Prior experience in the credit card industry is a plus.
