SUMMARY

- Utilize business and analytical skills to perform data evaluation, integration, organization, solution development, and solution implementation.
- Supports all analytic efforts of the business for report development, quality assurance, and analysis.
- The position also supports business process improvement efforts including projects to enhance automation, quality, and efficiency.

TASKS

- Improve the existing Technical Tendering (Engineering demand) estimating process
- Support Fleet Management with developing enhancements to the Anticipated Findings process
- Develop improvements for the Fleet Characterization process
- Evaluate and identify improvement solutions for the Demand Tracking process (Master List)
- Review and propose ideas for combining data from Lotus Notes with the Demand Tracking information
- Develop relevant dashboards and reports to support each business function
- Provide analytic support on projects
- Able to identify process improvement opportunities within existing operations.
- Develop presentations to illustrate design methodology and results.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed to help business partners make better decisions in a timely manner
- Generate and analyze complex data
- Document work procedures as needed
- Multiple reporting requirements due to multiple business departmental needs
- To understand the business needs and formulate solutions that are able to integrate multiple data sets into logical sequences and display this data in a manner suitable to make critical business decisions.

SKILLS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

- Educational experience equivalent to a university degree with 2-5 years of business/data analysis experience.
- Looking for someone with a programming background.
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formatting, Vlookup and related formulas, charts, importing/exporting data, pivot tables
- Basic understanding of programming commands such as if/then/else and for/while loops
- Development of macros and using VBA code
- Technical documentation skills
- Self-motivated, with a keen attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized.
- 3+ years MS Access database development and administration
- Data import/export
- Knowledge of Business Objects is beneficial
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes development is beneficial
- Ability to adapt, be flexible, and maintain enthusiasm and focus under the demands of a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and changing environment.
- Position requires analytical thinking; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; work under pressure; focus on task; examine/observe and recall detail; make decisions and re-prioritize work due to changing conditions.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent computer use; frequent telephone use; some lifting or moving up to 10 lbs.
