SUMMARY:

A leader in the payments industry, our client provides end-to-end payment processing solutions and services to more than one million merchants around the world.

The Business Analyst (BA) acts as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes of business processes and information systems. She/he works closely with our customers to understand their business model, requirements and translate them into concepts and software requirements document, and with the Project Manager to assure that the project plan is adhered to and scope changes are approved and documented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Plan the requirements development process by defining a Requirements Management Plan (RMP) documenting the deliverables and any assumptions, dependencies or risks
-Manage change through the defined Change Request Process
-Gather complete and detailed requirements using a variety of techniques such as brainstorming, interviews, facilitated information gathering sessions and workshops, surveys, questionnaires, prototyping, observations and existing documentation
-Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
-Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers and partners to analyze information needs and functional requirements
-Refine the scope as documented in the project charter
-Analyze the As-Is business processes and design and document the To-Be processes and workflows
-Provide additional artifacts if needed such as: Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface Designs, Data Models and Data Mapping documents
-Act as a liaison between the business area experts and the design, build and test teams
-Work closely with the Business Area Experts to make recommendations for solutions and work with the technical teams to design it. The recommendation may include software changes to existing systems, new software, procedural or workflow changes, or some combination
-Remain involved in the project to review the technical designs proposed by the design team for usability issues and to ensure the requirements are being met and satisfied
-Work closely with Quality Assurance and UAT team and assist with the testing process if needed
-Support the implementation and post-implementation phase to assist with questions or issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

-The ability to quickly understand the business issues and data system challenges, and how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
-Experience as a Business Analyst in capturing and documenting requirements using various methods such as use cases
-Solid technical knowledge in general, and proven working knowledge of MS Office Suite
-SQL, database design and analysis concepts experience a plus
-UML experience a plus
-Microsoft Visio or equivalent skills a plus
-The ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience, and business information to a technical audience
-Understanding of electronic transaction processing
-Solid understanding of methods for Business Process Modeling and Design, and the ability to analyze, design and document complex business processes
-Knowledge about the project life cycle, fundamentals of project management, and knowledge about testing, verification and validation techniques will be of advantage
