Business Analyst

DETAILS

- Defines the business requirements and creates technology independent process and data models for technology solutions that meet the business needs of a single business area.
- Bridge the gap between the business customer and the technology solution providers (ie, vendors, infrastructure team, development team, etc.
- Gathers business requirements by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large-group/cross-functional sessions with customers
- Ensures that all related applications are consistent with the customer's business strategies
- Provides subject matter expertise to other team
- Analyzes change requests to determine feasibility in relation to existing business requirements, processes, and data models
- Works with project leadership in determining design approach, estimating/planning, setting technical direction, enhancing business processes, and identifying required project resources
- Interfaces with business clients and vendor partners
- May assist project leadership in estimating/planning and setting technical direction
- Writes specifications that will meet the business needs, legal requirements, and comply with applicable standards
- Owns and insures that our communication toolkit is current and is in alignment with product roadmaps
- Provides input into process, roadmaps, and implementation plans for projects
- Responds to questions from clients and analyzes what-if scenarios
- Make sure info and documents (toolkit) are current and up to date
- Partially involved with training, how to develop digital platform, train digital partners on how to find information and what to use it for
- Process mapping with Visio, data associated with process understand data and where to get it

SKILLS:

- Data modelling, process mapping, workflow analysis and design tools experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to focus on details as well as the big picture
- Experience identifying project tasks and providing estimates for those tasks
- 3-5 years experience in defining requirements and business analytics.
