Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

- Will be monitoring 2 million meters, and investigating reasons on why they are not communicating.
- Position is responsible for determining why meters are not communicating with each other, utilizing the database, created internally.
- The candidate will investigate possible reasons and create a ticket to start field activity. In order for the meters to read, they must be near each other in clusters.
- If it is determined that there is an RF issue, the candidate would work with engineering to solve the problem.
- The candidate would also monitor the progress made by the field and engineering to make sure tickets are closed in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot the issues: Field technician activity, RF issues.
- Monitor to see if the issues are fixed and report to senior management.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- College degree with Engineering, Physics, Math, or Business background
- Access and Excel experience are necessary, SQL is nice to have
- Requires analytical skills, prior Microsoft Access experience
- Will communicate verbally and written with other areas of the business- must have good communication skills
- Should generally be tech savvy and able to pick up on new software systems quickly
- 7+ years of experience required
- RF tech background is a plus
- Gas and electric industry experience a plus
- Must be able to work independently and handle work challenges effectively
