Business Analyst

SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to provide hands on business analysis, and project coordination. The role will manage cross functional business groups in order deliver value adding IT applications and process enhancements to the business.

Key deliverables:

- Delivery of Supplier OTIF reporting
- Regression testing for software upgrade
- Other changes in existing Supply Chain/Ops systems
- Improvements to current EPOS reporting
- Completion of project to streamline PO Processes

My client is a multinational consumer goods business. They manufacture and distribute some of the most familiar household brands in the world. They operate in a number of different categories, such as; personal care, beauty, home care, food and nutrition and electricals. They have over 6500 employees across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America.

DESCRIPTION

Business Analyst- London - West End

- Project planning & control - Utilize the existing project governance methodology to ensure projects are auditable and managed in-line with the process and project teams are run efficiently and effectively.
- Using excellent communication skills and understanding of the businesses, liaise with business users to provide IT Project support and add value to the process with the ultimate goal of
- providing effective systems and infrastructure that are fast, reliable and secure and are well documented
- ensuring users are well trained and systems are effectively used so that they deliver the expected benefits.
- Delivering projects on time, on budget.
- Management, control and support of 3rd parties (suppliers and customers) to ensure delivery of project goals.
- Business process re-engineering - Utilize appropriate tools to evaluate and question business practice, and manage the necessary changes identified
- Work with other members of the Business Engagement Team, IT dept and the businesses
- Project prioritization & Business Case Justification - Work with the business and 3rd parties to generate water tight business cases to ensure projects are prioritized correctly
- Add value to the use of business data - Identify & promote opportunities for utilizing internal & external data to gain competitive advantage.
- Use in depth knowledge of the business to identify opportunities to improve business processes in order to take out cost and reduce non value added activity via the use of business systems/infrastructure
- Demonstrate with colleagues, clients and suppliers habitual behavior consistent with CANDO principles
- Knowledge of EPOS, SQL server based applications

PROFILE

BUSINESS ANALYST LONDON - WEST END

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Graduate desired
- Strong working knowledge of the key business processes within an FMCG company in particular Supply Chain and Operations
- Proven experience of working cross-functionally and with 3rd Parties to deliver projects (Customers and Suppliers)
- Good commercial acumen, and analytical skills
- A confident self-starter, you will be flexible, stress-tolerant, conscientious, energetic and persuasive, used to delivering to standards and deadlines.
- Relevant IT, Business Analysis and Project qualifications desirable, but not essential (eg SSADM, ITIL etc)
- In addition to your proven skills as a Business Analyst, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to train, coach and facilitate others

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant IT/Business analysis experience with proven track record of delivering results/projects
- Delivery and customer service oriented
- Effective management of 3rd party IT suppliers/consultants
- Ability to challenge presented ideas, facilitate discussion and arrive at best practice
- Excellent project management, communication, leadership and business partnering skills
- ERP knowledge, preferably, but not essentially K3 Syspro
