My Dublin City based client has a requirement for a skilled Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Writing specifications
- Gathering, understanding, and scoping requirements.
- Analysing, documenting, and getting sign-off for business requirements and solutions
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a business analyst in a financial software setting
- Fast learner to understand the industry our clients work in, our clients' interests and challenges, and therefore feature solutions that will satisfy them.
- Top-down, objective-driven, structured approach capable of working with and within agreed processes.
- Ability to work on own initiative, to tight deadlines, particularly in context of dynamically shifting priorities.
- Expertise in system analysis and design best practice, as applied to processes and realities.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with respect to:
o Internal audiences: business, produce-unit, development, QA, and operations including Helpdesk.
o External audiences: Client business and technical teams, and external collaborators. - Stake-holder Management
- How solutions will satisfy their requirements, and solutions delivery schedules.
- Professional approach including, quality of work, manner, collaborative team spirit, client-facing presentation.
- Experience working with corporate clients, preferably within financial services sector.
- Expertise in our systems: their logical model, behaviour, and extendibility.
- Data skills including: databases, MySQL, SQL queries, data formats, etc.
- Selection of and proficiency with role-specific applications for diagramming, XML, etc.
