Business Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced BUSINESS ANALYST (ITSM & ITIL) to undertake the analysis, requirements gathering, selection, development and delivery of integrated solutions for large and complex projects and programs.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will work with external service provider specialists to define requirements/services, design and implement a new ITIL based IT Service Management and Asset Management system.

Your duties:

- Drive the design, documentation and development of business requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models
- Convene and facilitate workshops to develop required user requirements
- Evaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with system developers
- Prepare system and UAT plans and scripts
- Review and analyse business processes, re-engineer as necessary to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or usability
- Assist in the production of a robust business case that includes options analysed, impact assessments and funding recommendations where required

Your background:

- Strong ability to develop business requirements from abstract briefs and prepare functional specifications with complex or large information systems
- Proven experience in business process models and associated standard operating procedures using BPMN, Visio or System Architect
- Extensive experience in the development of instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
- High level communication oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, suppliers and project team members
- Experience with software testing tools (eg MQC, Quick Test Professional (QTP) and knowledge of testing methodologies)
