Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a background in the travel industry and reservation systems for a long term contract opportunity in Smyrna, GA. The Business Analyst will apply specific business knowledge and expertise to identify Ticketing applications requirements and define business solutions appropriate to meet customer needs. The Senior Business Analyst will i nterface with customers to determine business electronic ticketing, service fees, MCO/Associated Electronic Document, payment, airline sales reporting and settlement data requirements. Utilize detailed industry knowledge of specific applications plus a broad knowledge of system processing and system assumptions to write business requirements. The Business Analyst will also recommend, define and write detailed functional specifications for application enhancements and provide training and coaching to other staff Knowledge, skills and experience required

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

College degree or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledgeable in key core areas of Fulfillment:
e-Ticketing, EMD (including exchange, reissue, and refund)
GDS and interline e-ticket implementations
Back Office ticketing processes
IATA pricing
Credit card processing
BSP (Bank Settlement Plan) requirements relating to ticketing
Sales reports, financial reports, and revenue accounting
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to details
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to analyze, draw conclusions, and create solutions to complex problems
Ability to work effectively in a diverse group as well as independently
Strong interpersonal and team working skills
Strong computer skills in the use of word processors, spread sheets, and databases
Poise and professional manner with customers and vendors Ability to make key business decisions and set business priorities

EXPERIENCE:

Experience with airline/industry compliant ticketing systems
Advanced experience with ATA and IATA ticketing requirements, IATA BSP/ARC sales reporting requirements, ATPCO ticketing business rules.
Proven ability to write detailed business requirements
Advanced knowledge of airline ticket issuance and exchange reissue principles
Project lead or manager experience in ticketing software development projects
