DESCRIPTION:
My client currently has an opportunity for a Business Analyst, with a strong accounting background, on a contract basis, based in Dublin.
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
My client is a leading technology and business consultancy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with ESM subject matter experts to gather business requirements and other relevant input
- Based on this input, create functional deliveries; update of policies and procedures
- Business requirements for:
- Accounting rules per instrument
- Accounting schemes
- Mapping of accounts
- Analysis of whether existing trade need editing or re-booking in Murex
- Interface to send file with accounting entries to external service provider
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Detailed knowledge of accounting, specifically IFRS and EU Directive
- Knowledge of the instruments in scope of the work stream covered by the business analyst
- Understanding of the Back Office, end to end processing related to accounting, settlements, reconciliation etc.
- In depth knowledge of payments, confirmations and SWIFT messages
- Ability to document clear and complete business requirements
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst with a background in Accounting.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Consultancy background, 3 years' experience
- Thorough understand of and experience with Murex
