Business Analyst

Business Analyst with ability to analyse business requirements to deliver intended business outcomes.

Combine experience in relationship building and producing concise documentation with a thorough understanding of the project management and software development life cycles to achieve results.

Skills and experience in user-centred design, highly regarded.

DUTIES:

- Shape document standards and methodologies
- Elicit and document appropriate business requirements
- Acquire subject matter and process knowledge from the business
- Facilitate the formulation of fit for purpose business solutions through collaboration with stakeholders
- Build and maintain productive relationships with business and technical stakeholders
- Co-ordinate project related activities across business and systems areas
- Lead small initiatives end-to-end
- Be able to mentor staff and provide strategic advice and leadership to the business
- Collect and record information as part of evidence based service responses and provide accurate reporting.

DEMONSTRATE:

- Track record as a BA mid to senior level
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and active listening
- Excellent analytical skills
- Work independently and show initiative
- Facilitate business requirement workshops with users. Must be able to extract, capture, decompose and communicate requirements, including process and training
- Produce thorough and detailed business requirement documentation to specified formats
- Co-ordinate testing and training activities
- Provide technical support to end users, and resolve business queries
- Deal with multiple users, concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities.

EXPERIENCE:

- Delivery of online systems
- User-centred design/user experience design
- Web application usability
- Mobile application development
- Working with solution architects and documentation of architectural artefacts

Australian citizenship is a requirement of this position.

Science bent advantageous.
