Business Analyst

A Federal Government contract exists for a Business Analyst with experience in software development projects utilising Object Oriented Methodologies

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Review project teams specifications for quality and adherence to standards, particularly with respect to User Interface specifications;
- Conduct research to ensure guidelines meet industry best practice;
- Mentor and train BA's in Object Oriented methodologies to continually improve the skill set of the Group's BA's, and
- Assist BA's in the use of the Group's requirements management tool set
- Conduct high-level and medium level business requirements gathering workshops
- Undertake high-level and detailed requirements analysis for a new system or enhancements to a system
- As a part of a team help to develop semantic and logical models of the system
- Take part in development of testing strategies, test scripts and provide assistance with testing if needed.

To be successful the ideal candidate will have

- Experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects utilising Object Oriented Methodologies working with a range of many and varied stakeholders developing:

User Requirements models:

- System artefacts (Use Cases);
- Business Domain models;
- Business Process models
- Functional Specification writing, and
- User Experience/User Interface models and specifications
- Demonstrated skills in using requirements management tools to support large-scale systems development.
- Well developed communication skills, including: Demonstrated experience in conducting workshops with business users and working effectively in a team environment, andPresentation and training skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as:A mentor;A team member;An individual, and To tight timeframes.
