Business Analyst

Analyst contract role £250-£300 per day

This person will be a point of escalation for and 24x7 supportable applications within their portfolio.

Managing the day to day operational activities of the staff within the teams and staying abreast on all current issues affecting various business critical application suites

ensure the team support activities align as close as possible with Group IT policies, processes, and initiatives.

* Actively represent the application suite with all stakeholders building effective relationships with business users, interfacing application managers/developers, project managers, support organizations, and software vendors.

* Manages the change control procedures for code migration and oversees Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing responsibilities of all updates provided by 3rd Party.

* Participate in staffing activities including attracting, motivating, and retaining team members.

* Deputize for other Sub Team Lead(s) and assist to ensure critical support issues are promptly dealt with during his/her absence

Start Time:

* Sound knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel. - Ability to perform basic SQL queries.

* Knowledge of Gas scheduling and operations in European gas market.

* Knowledge of Power Operations and Trading in European Power Market. OPTIONAL:

* Familiarity with ETRM systems

* Knowledge of network technologies like FTP, sFTP, AS2.

Soft Skills and Experience:

MANDATORY:

* Strong Oral Communications Skills with other IT members and end users as the incumbent will be working with users, support teams, application teams and 3rd Party vendors.

* Strong Written Communication Skills - be able to send IT Alerts to the Business as well as mentor others TIS folks when sending messages.

* Ability to effectively multi task and adapt to a changing environment and work in a fast-paced and high stress environment.

* Ability to prioritize in a demanding environment
