Business Analyst

My client, a well known Wealth Management organisation based in Sydney has a need for a Business Analyst to join the organisation in this key position working on a Finance Renovation Program.

The project commenced in mid 2012 and is focused on scoping, planning, analysis, reviewing, development, testing and implementation phases of the project.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Understand the reporting requirements of each Finance team
- Facilitate discussions/workshops to clarify and document the reporting requirements
- Identifying opportunity areas for improvement of existing reporting
- Developing and documenting reporting specifications and any data conversion requirements
- Identify and document test scripts for both system and user acceptance testing required for the reporting transition
- Testing report outcomes against predetermined outcomes/existing reports
- Reconciling reporting differences
- Liaising with business users and transitioning the end product into the business
- Providing support to the business through transition and reporting periods
- Manage scope and change control processes within the program of work
- Change management by contributing to training plans and materials, potentially conduct training
- Participate in post implementation review

A very analytically orientated individual with excellent product and financial aptitude who is able to work well in a team environment is required. You will have strong communication skills, will be confident enough to challenge the status quo and be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders from all areas of the business.

To be considered for this role you will possess:

- Experience as a Business Analyst
- Previous experience in Finance Projects
- Prior experience in process and systems analysis and functional change
- CPA or CA qualifications or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship skills
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Visio skills
- Basic SQL query skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self Motivation, teamworking and planning and organisation skills
