Projektbeschreibung

The Business Analyst must work effectively within a team that is responsible for analysing and synthesizing information provided by all stakeholders throughout the business, and working with these stakeholders to effectuate required changes.

The stakeholders include, but are not limited to executives, end users and Information Technology. The Business Analyst will elicit requirements from various stakeholders, and work in conjunction with IT and end users to ensure desired changes are implemented into production systems as expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with business and IT to manage general support, conduct training, implement system enhancements and address defects
- Ensure requirements given to IT are of highest quality and in line with business goals
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities
- Act as a senior business analyst for specified functional areas within the business
- Provide business function support in various power delivery settings in addition, develop processes to satisfy the needs and requirements of a diverse financial group that utilize a variety of O&M, Capital and/or balance sheet and clearing accounts.
- Utilize PC and Mainframe applications, such as Microsoft Office, Peoplesoft, Time, EERS, and PassPort proficiently.
- Develop customized reports.
- May be expected to travel as required using personal vehicle
- Will be managing requirements, holding meetings, making sure all information for both Business and IT are present.
- Will be asking the Business side what IT will need to work on and making priority lists for the IT side.
- Will not be writing requirements initially, but if position develops, likely possibility of writing later on.
- Will be interacting A LOT with the Business side.
- Has the possibility of going permanent.

SKILLS:

MINIMUM:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry and retail operations and an understanding of the end to end processes and controls
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making
- Experience in project management, system testing and providing vision to solutions
- Ability to function in a team environment, across departments, and to maintain rapport with internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively manage workload and meet aggressive deadlines
- Required Bachelors degree in a Business, Information Technology, Engineering or other related field and 5 years experience in preparing project estimates in the electric and gas utility industry using software and or estimating manuals to expedite estimating preparation process.
- Excel and Access skills are important
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- This position requires someone who is a go-getter, not shy, someone who will have no problem calling and facilitating meetings.
- Ability to rapidly learn new skills as required by assignment
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups.
- All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
- Must possesses a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED:

- Basic SQL/Microsoft Access knowledge a plus but not required
- Experience with Siebel and Lodestar applications
- Change management experience is an added bonus
- Energy experience is an added bonus
