Business Analyst

My client, a leading QLD employer, is looking for a Senior BA to join their team on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work within a large and complex business and ICT environment, undertake the identification, analysis and documentation of current and future state business processes, requirements, integration, solution alignment and scenarios of a high quality and fit for purpose.

Some of the daily duties the successful candidate may be asked to perform in this role may include the following key tasks:

- Working with a diverse and large group of stakeholders, suppliers and on/off site project team members within a complex and safety critical environment.
- Identify, analyse and deliver appropriately leveled 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' business processes and associated descriptions using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
- Take total ownership of assigned procedural and or functional areas that consist of a complete end to end business solution statement including: business scenarios, processes, scope definition, requirements, rules, roles and solution alignment.
- Identify, analyse and formally document appropriately leveled and structured requirements ensuring all relevant downstream teams are well informed and advised of the business needs.
- Manage assigned product delivery to an agreed schedule that typically involves a consultation with a large amount of key subject matter experts, team members, and external governance groups and off site stakeholders.
- Working within a Matrix style program of work requiring adaptive thinking, flexibility, providing advice on alternate ways of achieving an agreed product and taking on activities not always directly aligned with a core skill.

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

- Demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing, documenting and utilising'AS-IS' AND 'TO-BE' business process models across large organisations, preferably using BUSINESS PROCESS MODELLING NOTATION (BPMN).
- Demonstrated experience performing senior business analysis activities including but not limited to requirements development, change identification, scenario development, solution alignment and traceability with a focus onCOMMERCIAL OF THE SHELF (COTS) SOLUTION DELIVERY
- Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience in the application of and sound advice on appropriate business analysis techniques, methodologies and tools to achieve large organisational change and COTS SOLUTION DELIVERY.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with large vendors, senior business and technical stakeholders.
