Business Analyst

My client, a Major Multinational Financial Services Company, are hiring for the position of Business Analyst. This will be based in their state of the art Dublin City Offices

THE JOB
There is a review program underway to ensure all internal models comply with Corporate Policy. The models in scope for this project are SQL based with an ASP.NET reporting Front End. This position is responsible for analysing and understanding existing models and related underlying deal requirements.

You will be required to read and understand deal related legal documentation, analyse the existing model and identify the relevant details and information to enable them to validate the model is in compliance. In addition, the analyst will provide support if remediation work is required on the model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyse and understand complicated finance product structures.
- Review legal documentation and prepare business requirements from them.
- Liaise with the IT development and Business Analyst team to ensure model fully reflects deal requirements or functional requirements.
- Compare business requirements to what has been coded in the model.
- Prepare and perform testing to ensure results are as expected. This includes stress testing.
- Ensure they are performing as expected. Aid in the remediation where required.
- Provide support and QA to other team members
- Maintain all relevant documentation and ensure compliance with the Corporate Model Policy.
- Assist with the development and implementation of process, risk management and audit controls model.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- University degree is preferred.
- 3+ years work experience within a financial institution preferably working with Structured Finance and conventional debt products is required.
- Business Analysis experience is required.
- Knowledge of SQL, VB/VBA, or similar database, query writing or programming experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SUMMIT preferable.
- A demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, take full ownership of projects and work independently is required.
- Must have exceptional analytical and organisational skills.
- Must be able to respond quickly to critical business needs, prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail is vital, as is accuracy whilst working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- An excellent understanding of written and spoken English is required.
