Business Analyst

Be a part of the dynamic, next generation E-banking solution, which will significantly change the way our client provides global banking services to their corporate clients.  You will work with the latest technologies on one of the largest corporate E-banking systems and you will have the opportunity to learn about various E-banking technologies.

The primary purpose of the role is to review, analyze, and interpret Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and provide feedback on key functionality.  Also responsible to translate the BRD into the Functional Requirements Document and work with the Development team on new and enhanced functionality.

This role will allow the senior business analyst to further enhance their business knowledge of the GTS Business and play an active role in the evolution of the global technology services provided by our client to their GTS clients.   This role provides the opportunity to work with high-calibre project managers, developers and other technical professionals in a fast paced and challenging environment.  The work is often tied to specific customer commitments which enable you to work on new and innovative solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Interpret Business Requirements and assist end-users in clearly articulating all aspects of their requirements.    
- Prepare Functional Specifications based on Business Requirements.
- Guide the development team through the design and development phases.
- Developing customer documentation.
- Reviewing custom specs developed by vendors.
- Develop prototypes and Business Use Case Scenarios to facilitate the gathering and documentation of requirements.
- Conduct FRD Walkthroughs for multiple teams (Development, Quality Control, User Acceptance Testing, Training, Market Readiness and Operations) to explain new and enhanced functionality.
- Act as FRD subject matter expert during external customer calls.
- Utilize the approved tools to maintain and develop FRDs.
- Responsible for storing and maintaining all requirements deliverables in Version Control tools like ClearCase.

- Basic proficiency of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office applications including Word, and Excel.
- Functional knowledge of DOORS, DreamWeaver and TestDirector would be a plus but not a requirement.
- Understanding of the new technologies like Portal, J2EE, Messaging technologies like TIBCO, MQ, Databases, SQL etc.
- Results-oriented.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

- 10 years minimum experience in participating in large scale enterprise software projects.
- 5 years minimum prior experience as a Business Analyst.
- Ability to work in a global environment dealing with various level of management across globe.
- Knowledge of Corporate banking is preferable.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and with customers/business partners.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business partners and technical team members.
- Ability to effectively manage and lead the discussion with business partners/customers to get the requirements.
- Some knowledge of scope management and expectation management with business partners/customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

- College degree (B.S.) and 5 years minimum prior experience as Business Analyst.
