This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity. Overview
Our Client is seeking an IT Business Analyst to work with business and program stakeholders to assess needs and requirements for the management of information within the Corporate Information Management area.
Using best practices, standards and guidelines established by our Client, this Business Analyst will work as part of the project team to design an information management strategy for current and future needs.
This position is Calgary based with no travel required. This position may experience occasional periods of overtime due to tight deadlines and changing program needs. This Program is in early stages and as activities evolve; requirements and timelines may change.Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other team members, Information Management teams and stakeholders to design an Information Management strategy to support current and future sustainment activities.
- Understand the needs of stakeholders for Information Management and bring consistency, accuracy and simplicity to strategy.
- Analyze existing information management artifacts to determine approach for moving to new strategy and design.
- Effective communication skills to interface directly with stakeholders and Information Management teams to enable buy-in and sign-off for deliverables
- Provide recommendations and alternatives for each phase of the project involving Livelink and SharePoint toolset.
Qualifications
Required Skills - Business Administration, Commerce or Computer Science Degree or equivalency
- Minimum five years working with Content Management initiatives using tools such as Livelink, SharePoint or other document management and collaboration tools.
- Experience in unstructured data collection and analysis required.
- Experience working with Enterprise-wide ECM projects.
- Experience with process design and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate, detailed information and timely reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- SharePoint knowledge required.
- Livelink knowledge required.
- Customer service mindset.
- Flexible and able to change direction quickly.
