Business Analyst

Business Analyst - Glasgow - up to 3 months - starting ASAP My client is currently seeking an experienced business analyst to define process improvement within a currently unstructured department of the NHS. The position involves liaising with key stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements and determine the most appropriate solutions, considering factors such as existing practice, infrastructure, business process flows and business sector trends to provide real business value. This role is expected to last approximately 1 month but may be extended if required. The organisation can be flexible with regards to working days and hours. Required Skills / experience: * 2:1 or above in Computing / Information Technology or related degree * Further qualifications in business analysis desirable * proven track record in analysis and reporting as part of your previous role. At least 4 years experience in similar role(s) preferable. * Previous experience of working within the NHS desirable. * Knowledge of business process identification, modelling and documentation * The ability to gather and assimilate multiple requirements; Experience of requirements capture and process modelling tools. * Excellent analytical skills; the ability to view a problem from different angles, to formulate recommendations and to support chosen solution with a reasoned and persuasive argument * Knowledge of application programming, database and system design The successful applicant will be responsible for: * Defining the departments service within the organisation * Defining and documenting the department's processes and procedures, whilst setting up a strategy for this to be maintained. * Defining and documenting the department's purpose and responsibilities in relation to the organisation as a whole. * Arranging consultative sessions / meetings with current department staff to determine solutions and processes in line with organisations requirements. * Prepare business case for procurement of enhanced IT systems.
