Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Business Analyst for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Burnaby.

Role:
The Transformation Program will implement processes and technology, as well as organizational changes to support the end-to-end solution to support the Client's transformation initiatives. This Transformation Program and SAP Solutions, includes process and system design for asset management, work management, customer connection processes, and supply chain, as well as supporting technical development, data conversion, reporting and change management streams.
Key business drivers include the following:

- Improve operational efficiencies throughout the Transmission, Distribution and Generations business processes;
- Increased safety and environmental compliance - through managers spending less time on administration and more time in the field;
- Improved customer service - improved and standardized processes will lead to consistent customer service experience; and
- Simplify IT environment and sustainment - consolidate functionality and reduce applications and systems.

What you will do:
As a Business Analyst you will be working alongside business subject matter experts and SAP functional experts on the SAP Solutions Team. You will also possibly being involved in other enterprise-wide improvement initiatives underway with the SAP platform.
Listed below are the general requirements that the Business Analysts will be expected to carry out:

- Gather and document formal business requirements;
- Carry out and document as-is vs. future state process gap analysis;
- Design improved business process work flows in varying levels of detail; document them textually and within functional swim lanes (Visio);
- Liaise between business areas, change and technology teams to ensure business solutions address priority business requirements. Facilitate formal and informal discussions;
- Present, clarify and validate future state recommendations. Design enablers and controls for future state business processes;

Requirement or Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst with software implementation project experience;
- Extensive experience with documenting business process work flows in varying levels of detail is required.

The ability to:

- Ability to analyze and evaluate data, feasibility and "what if" scenarios;
- Work flow mapping, analysis and definition; and Writing process and user documentation.
- Ability to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations that optimize business processes, in full consideration of end-to-end impacts with an eye to people, process and technology.
- Interviewing and facilitating process design workshops; using various techniques.
- Working in a structured project team and production of process deliverables within project phases.
- Process testing methodology; change control processes
- Ability to develop detail process based scenarios and coach others in test walk-through; and Documentation of test results.
