Business Analyst

Business Analyst will provide direction and management to their stakeholders and will act as a liaison in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of the company. The analyst will ensure solutions are developed and business problems are solved in a way that meets the business needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Strong business modelling skills that allow a current process to be analysed and be able to put recommendations together to improve process efficiency and quality.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
- Develop functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
- Carrying out requirements gathering.
- Chairing user workshops.
- Development of business process diagrams.
- Input and reviewing solution design documents.
- Development of the business case documents.
- Business process mapping.
- Requirements definition and mapping to technical solution.

Key Criteria

- Project based background in the mining industry in particular experience and knowledge in mines, rail or ports.
- Fleet management systems experience.
- Ability to communicate with clients to determine needs and requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and achieve deadlines
- Some roles may have travel requirements.
- Rail Technology project experience ie. Train/crew Scheduling, train control and signalling, trip optimisations, roadmaps to automation train operations, track & rollingstock maintenance, rail process modelling, Wayside and telemetry.
- Working knowledge of autonomous train systems and technologies.
- Experience in implementing integrated remoting operating operations.
- Experience with application integration and visualisation.
