Business Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a BUSINESS ANALYST to join our client in the O'Fallon, Missouri area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business owners to understand new business opportunities and define the business and functional requirements. Deliver high quality business and functional requirements to the development teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle.
- Coordinate and participate in review; revisions; changes; enhancements; testing; documentation; and member notification of product enhancements and/or business opportunities.
- Provide business knowledge and technical support for requirement development.
- Work closely with developers and requesters identifying data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems.
- Create design considerations that assists team with Front End changes
- Ensure development objectives are accomplished and support user testing as required.
- Work closely with testing team in defining test cases, acceptance criteria and execute test cases
- Work closely with Business Owners on requirements definition and project support
- Develop and participate in the review of business and functional requirements and determine primary functions that the project is to provide.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to internal staff.
- Document and coordinate changes and enhancements of products and services.
- Prepare and/or present documentation of business/technical presentations.
- Work closely with Manager to ensure risks are identified, status is communicated and risk mitigation strategies are executed.
- Liaison among business owners, technical staff and management teams.
- Lead the development of conceptual designs and mocking up screens
- Coordinate with a geographically dispersed team including off shore

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- Three to five (3-5) years experience in related field
- Strong technical knowledge and capability
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the field
- Experience with Story elaboration and Agile development methodology
- Experience with web based applications
- Thorough understanding of SDLC and ability to foresee business needs
- High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
- Ability to be assertive to ensure focus on priorities does not change, adaptable to situations and people
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
- Ability to think like a customer to enable better product functionality development
