Job Description:

The following are primary objectives for this role. These may be expanded or retracted as determined by the Engagement Manager. Define the business requirements and creates technology-independent process and data models for technology solutions that meet the business needs of a single business area. Bridge the gap between the business customer and the technology solution providers (ie, vendors, infrastructure team, development team, etc. requires 3-5 years experience in defining requirements and business analytics.

The Business Analyst will have experience in performing business analysis activities at the strategic, operational and organizational level, focused on producing business and functional requirements.

Responsibilities include:

- Actively participates in Requirements Elicitation sessions, and takes ownership in implementing standards
- Create specifications that include detailed descriptions of business processes and data flowcharts to describe the interrelationship between business rules and application development
- Conduct preliminary tests of business system applications before the application is sent to quality assurance
- May participate in determining what computer hardware and software will be needed to implement the application

The appropriate candidate will have:

- Proven experience in ensuring that deliverables are consistent with customer's business expectations and strategies.
- Extensive experience facilitating requirements elicitation (JAD) sessions and analysing and evaluating possible solutions to meet requirements
- Proven experience in documenting requirements, creating use cases, and writing and executing test plans
- Proven experience creating various UML diagrams
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Hands-on proven problem solver with a strong analytical background
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn about technology
- Highly adaptive; able to manage multiple priorities
- High level of initiative and holds self and others accountable for deliverables and deadlines
- Ability to manage own workload and work independently
- Familiarity with advantages and disadvantages of various SDLC models
- Familiarity with Microsoft web application technologies - eg,.Net
- Familiarity with Microsoft TFS or similar collaborative tool with regards to requirements/user story tracking and traceability, bug tracking and testing

Minimum requirements for position:

- 3-5 years of IT experience with Business Analytical focus
- Able to communicate effectively and represent the group in meetings
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Ability and desire to work within a team environment with people from multiple business units to create the highest degree of standardization and leverage possible.
