Business Analyst

Our client is a global leader in the resources industry with operations in over 25 countries. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team on a Full time 12 month contract. The position will be located within their corporate offices in the Perth CBD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to capture detailed business requirements and understand current and future business processes
- Translate business requirements into system requirements via standard methodology
- Ensure an objective approach when analysing business requirements to ensure all relevant alternatives have been considered and selected and that the chosen solution meets business project objectives
- Facilitate workshops or meetings to capture business requirements and identify any gaps
- Ensure consensus is reached on the outcome or issues are captured and escalated to the Project Manager as required
- Document the relationship between the business requirements and systems solution in a way that can be understood by key stakeholders and the project tram
- Apply IT Standards, including Information Protection in the development of system requirements, business processes and procedures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong analytical skills
- Business Process Modelling experience
- Experience across all phases in the project life cycle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable in communication with different management levels and people of different backgrounds
- Resources industry experience advantageous
- IT technical background highly regarded.
