Business Analyst

Type of Assignment: Contract, full-time

Length of Assignment: 1 year, plus 1 optional year

Job Description:
Our government sector client is currently sourcing for a Top Secret cleared Business Analyst to perform the following duties:

- Assist, through professional experience and past projects, with its effort to create a Business Intelligence practice and develop a strategic roadmap to move it forward,
- Provide recommendations (using templates provided by TA), based on professional experience and past projects, to allow to implement a BI roadmap, including a proposed direction, with educational and communication requirements considered,
- Determine the BI business requirements, while identifying and evaluating critical success parameters, factors and performance measurement requirements;
- Make written and verbal recommendations (using templates provided by TA), professional experience and past projects, for strategic actions and critical elements required to support effective and efficient implementation of Business Intelligence initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Must have a valid Top Secret clearance with the Government of Canada
- Experience in providing business and technical expertise to IM/IT projects
- Provided strategic guidance in the development and implementation of BI Frameworks
- Experience in a Business Intelligence and Datawarehouse environment developing performance management frameworks
- Facilitated requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and the technical team to ad-dress capability, integration and information management issues
- Must have over 10 years providing financial analysis, preparing cost benefit analysis and making recommendations on costing solutions
- Conducted client studies, interviews and research to identify the best practices underlying successful implementations of BI and data warehousing including predictive analytics
- Must be ITIL certified
