Business Analyst Manager

The business analysis manager will engage with all lines of businesses impacted to perform detailed assessments, GAP analysis and document business requirements for IFRS 10, 11 & 12 (the new consolidation and JV standards) and IFRS 13 (the new fair value standard). The required tasks in 2012 are noted below.

IFRS 10/11:
* Review existing trade write ups and source documentation for structured trades / SPVs to reach an opinion as to whether to consolidate in simple cases & escalate as appropriate.
* Reach out to necessary stakeholder groups to gather information required to confirm consolidation decision.
* Liaise with APAG (Accounting Policy & Advisory Group) on entities, flagging issues and working on resolution of consolidation decision.
* Advise the business on remediation options.

IFRS 12 (Disclosures):
* Identify population of entities for which disclosures required (especially non-consolidated entities).
* Segregate population of entities into groups/"buckets" in accordance with the IFRS 12 requirements.
* Assist with sourcing the data for the disclosure requirements for each group/bucket of entities.

IFRS 13:
* Assist with the implementation of new fair value disclosures
* Work with the CTB team to change the existing processes for current disclosures to ensure new (more timely) deadlines can be achieved.

The role will allow the candidate to become a subject matter expert in the implementation of the new IFRS standards.

This role may also cover the implementation of other new IFRSs for CIB (e.g. IFRS 9 Financial instruments classification and measurement).
