This is a 10 week work placement for a student or graduate. Available via the GO Wales project.

The P+A Group is family owned and run. They have evolved into a modern, successful, market sensitive company, but have never forgotten their family values and skills. The business has strong connections and involvement in timber based operations throughout Britain, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Portugal and the Baltic States. The key to their success is flexibility and customer care, they are now important suppliers of timber packaging to blue-chip companies, helping keep their logistic chain operating smoothly.
They also supply quality garden products to major garden centres, including a landscaping service.

About the placement:

The role will include the following:
Providing administrative support to the Operations Director and undertaking general duties across the divisions as necessary
Order processing and strong emphasis in prioritising deliveries
Answering the telephone, routing calls, taking messages and filing documents, inputting orders
Handling a wide range of activities and prioritising these effectively
Using initiative and make effective decisions
Using comprehensive range of IT software
Presenting accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Essential Requirements :
Have good communication and interpersonal skills
Have good numeracy, literacy and IT skills,
Have good attention to detail,
Have the competence to pick tasks up quickly,
Get on well as part of a team,
Be enthusiastic, reliable and friendly.

Desirable Requirements :
Administration experience and customer care.
