Building Services Site Engineer

Our client is part of the NHS that delivers and managers construction projects to the regions Hospitals and Health Care facilities in Humberside.

This Estates Team operate new build, refurbishment and extension projects ranging from £10k - £1m, acting as project managers and overseeing works from initial concept design through to completion.

The ideal candidate for this challenging position will be a Building Services Site Engineer with extensive experience in the construction industry delivering projects on time and to cost, able to lead a multi-disciplinary team. Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or other technical engineering professional backgrounds will all be considered as long as PM experience is clear and easily demonstrated. Due to the nature of the design input. and working environment, an engineer who has consultancy experience would be preferred.

You will be responsible for the day to day management for designated projects, reporting direct to the Capital Development Manager. The appointment of contractors and performance checks to ensure work is carried out to high standards is a key to the success of the job.

Co-ordination and organisation are important skill sets to have, as is the ability to communicate accurately and ensure all part of the project move forward together. As always Health and Safety is a top priority, ensuring there is a safe environment for staff and contractors to carry out their business.

To be considered for this contract you must have relevant technical qualifications. Access to a suitable vehicle during working hours is essential in order to be able to travel from site to site, a mileage allowance is available to cover your costs. Previous experience working on Health Care projects and knowledge of NHS procedures would be an advantage.
