Building Services Engineer

My client based in Oxford is looking for a Building Services Engineer to provide professional advice to on matters relating to carbon management initiatives. As building Services Engineer you will be working in close liaison with the carbon Management Team to identify and bring forward new schemes and carbon management initiatives. You will be designing and managing the supervision of electrical, lighting and mechanical service projects related to the provision of carbon saving schemes in Council owned buildings, including the management of associated project budgets.

As Building Services Engineer, you will also carry out the following:

- Undertaking and checking property surveys, inspections, and reporting on the outcomes
- Liaising with customers and stakeholders on projects
- Undertaking the implementation of Property related carbon management projects.
- Identify and bring forward new schemes and carbon management initiatives.
- Providing design, technical and procurement advice and support
- To work with other consultants and partners in connection with all aspects of energy efficiency, conservation and carbon reduction, to promote all aspects of this
- Assisting with the commissioning and management of external consultants, with stakeholders as appropriate, in relation to the service area.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Qualified as a Chartered Building Services (desirable)
- HNC (Building) or equivalent
- Experience as an Electrical Services Engineer specifically in electrical and lighting carbon saving projects
- Good knowledge and experience of the carbon efficiency, carbon reduction and sustainability issues and how these are achieved
