Building Control Officer

Building Control Officer - £31/hour - Hertfordshire - 6 month contract - Start ASAP

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Control Officer or above to join a Local Authority in Hertfordshire. You will be working alongside an already established team of surveyors. This is a contracted position is for an initial 3 month term however it does possess the possibility of extension.

About You

Ideally, you will ideally be professional accredited to RICS, CABE, MBEng or CIOB standard. Although this is not essential it is desirable, surveyors working towards their professional qualifications will still be considered. You will possess relevant and most importantly recent Building Control experience with a Local Authority or an Approved Inspector and have both great communication skills and a great work ethic.

About the Role

In relation to the local authority, you will be handling:

- Incorporating residential, commercial and retail schemes from commencement through to completion.
- Will also include checking building designs and drawings for compliance with the Building Regulations
- carrying out site inspections ensuring it conforms to the Building Standards
