Build Technician

BUILD TECHNICIAN HILLSBORO, OR 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our hugely popular client requires a motivated Technician to assist with pilot deployments and management of a new industrial vibration monitoring system. We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who can contribute on a number of different efforts supporting the project and ensuring its success.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

- Interfacing with customers/partners to coordinate deployments, review data and provide regular status updates
- Deploying pilot solutions in client facilities and for external partners
- Deployment includes:
- Putting sensors on equipment, and wiring them to custom data acquisition system
- Appropriately mounting the data acquisition system and its host computer at the installation site
- Regularly reviewing operational status to identify issues and minimize downtime
- Installing new versions of software on Embedded devices used for data acquisition
- Remotely logging into Embedded device to assess its status
- Monitoring pilot deployments regularly for potential fault condition (we provide training)
- Collecting data as necessary from fault simulator, test setups, and monitored equipment
- Maintaining online inventory of sensors, prototype, and pilot units

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Linux knowledge - bash Scripting, command-line tools, and OS installation
- Experience in working with Embedded systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with electronic hardware
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Good verbal and written communications, stakeholder management, team and service orientation
- Attention to detail

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- MATLAB
- Vibration analysis
- Atlassian tool suite: Jira and Confluence
