Build Room Engineer

We have a current requirement to recruit a Build Engineer for a short-term contract, lasting three months initially, based in Glasgow. You must be available for face to face interview during the week commencing 26th of November. The pay rate for the role is fixed at £120 per day.
The Build Room' has many functions all of which relate to the building, installing and shipping of IT equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Stock control including Storage, Packing/unpacking
- Logistics, assisting with shipping of equipment countrywide and overseas as directed.
- Build Tool operation
- Active Directory/QARS
- Client Tools
- SCCM team liaison
- Providing fault analysis to builds and imaging
- Installing new hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors' and docking stations, as required
- Configuring lap tops desktops Servers to images as requested
- Performing Pre-Deployment checks with the users and identifying any potential issues relating to the rollout project.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum of three years of Desktop Support experience within a Windows based environment.
- Outstanding customer service, presentation, organisational & communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 including Outlook, Project & Visio.
- Proficient in Blackberry usage & support.
- Experience of supporting VPN and remote connection tools, in relation to Broadband and 3G technologies.
- Experience providing remote fault analysis, via verbal communication and IT remote control tools.
- Active Directory/QARS user account administration experience.
- Previous experience working in a banking environment desirable.
- Previous experience of working on a large scale rollout deployment project desirable.
- Candidate must have own transport and have a UK compatible driving licence.
