J2EE Jenkins Malvern SDLC Software Delivery Engineer for 4 Month mission finishing at the end of 2015.

is to ensure that developed software can be automatically deployed from development to production using all the necessary checkpoints (eg, security compliance, code compliance). This can be for a set of maintenance tickets, an individual project, or a number of projects combined into a release.

Furthermore, the Software Delivery Engineer must ensure that a subset of the software can be deployed and not always the complete set.

To achieve the above, the incumbent will define and maintain a set of guidelines and acceptance criteria for all software developed. Additionally, the process and all involved steps will be documented.

This pertains to the developed and purchased (if applicable) software, the database, and all configuration parameters.

All this is done to avoid errors during the installation. For this reason, continuous improvement is also part of the function

ITIL is an asset

Experience:
Computer Science & Development - significant proven experience in Windows and Linux
Software Development Experience - Practical experience as a software developer is required to understand and translate the needs of the IT Software Factory. Furthermore, the creation of the installation sets can require development which must be executed by the incumbent.
Software Life Cycle - experience with the life cycle used in a development organisation and a solid understanding of software & release delivery and configuration/change management
