ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is searching for a Build Engineer/Configuration & Release Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity in Irving, TX. This position will be in charge of staging and coordinating production release activities, as well as ensuring overall quality of QA and production build environments. You will define policies and procedures for the release management process and the source control system and maintain the source control system for our client's QA environment.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
Release Management Processes/Change Management Processes - Developing/Implementing/Managing/Automating
Release Cycles - Planning/Managing
Source Control Systems - Versioning/Labeling/Developing/Implementing/Managing
Visual Studio Team Foundation Server Source Control (TFVC)
Microsoft Visual Source Safe
Load Testing and Performance Monitoring Tools - WAPT/Visual Studio Load
Proven ability to deploy multiple target platforms concurrently
Advanced understanding SQL Server 2008
Knowledge of .NET Architecture/Web Deployments/IIS
Application Server Software Distribution
PREFERRED
Continuous build process frameworks - Cruisecontrol or ANT
Configuration Management Team - Building teams from the ground up
Bachelors degree or certifications
