My client is a specialist Consulting business with an enviable reputation for the quality of its software solutions. A specific and urgent requirement for an experienced Python Build Administrator/Engineer to work for a high profile client on site in Galway, Ireland.

Build Engineer Skills and Requirements:

. Strong C/C++ skills

. Good knowledge of the Cloudera Manager (CM) product suite

. Experience with build tools such as CMake and Python

. In-depth experience of PYTHON and Shell Scripting

. Thorough knowledge of Windows and Linux OS

. Good knowledge of SW versioning and revision systems - SERENA (!), Mercurial (!), SVN

. Exposure to branching and merge strategies

. Experience in setting up continuous integration tools

. Exposure to integrating build infrastructure with automated tools to enforce code quality as well as automated tests is a plus

. Ability to be able to react/respond quickly to issues ('think on your feet')

. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options

. Mindset of continuous improvement

. Excellent communication skills
