Budget & Reporting Officer

My Swansea based client is seeking a Budget and Reporting Officer/Budgets Assistant/Data Reporting Officer for a contract role. This will be until the end of March 2014.

The Budget and Reporting Officer/Budgets Assistant/Data Reporting Officer would be a key member of the Management Accounting team. You would be responsible for the specific stages in the period end close process such as product costing, scheme accounting, data management and integrity as well as other ad hoc duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills Required for the Budget and Reporting Officer/Budgets Assistant/Data Reporting Officer:
* Expert user of excel including VBA, composite macros and dynamic range names. Able to manipulate, interpret and present large amounts of complex data
* Extensive experience of ADI, Oracle systems and Oracle Discover
* Knowledge and application of management accounting costing methodologies include ABC, Overhead apportionment, costing for Lean, etc.
* Experience of systems management and designing, implementing and managing Change Control
* Effective communicator experienced in dealing with all levels within the organisation
* Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve tight deadlines as part of a results-orientated team.
* Ability to travel to the client's other site if needed.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills Required for the Budget and Reporting Officer/Budgets Assistant/Data Reporting Officer:
* AAT Qualified
* Experience of budgeting processes including zero based budgeting for a large, complex multifunctional organisation
* Experience of accounting for Trading Funds within Government guidance and regulations
* Experience of writing reports in Oracle
* Experience of dealing with confidential data including application of Level 1 "Protecting information" techniques
