Budget, MI and For-casting Analyst based in Skelmersdale (flex to travel)

ROLE PURPOSE:

To undertake, manage and deliver budget, MI and forecasting analysis and reporting to support Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) achieve its objectives. This role is around generating reports and producing and creating new reports and visuals which are easy to read.

The ideal candidate will have a Financial Services background, with knowledge of Financial Crime experience would be an advantage. Can challenge integrity and accuracy of MI and provide assurance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

*Substantial experience/capability in analytics and report creation eg Business Objects, Cognos with proven ability to maintain extensive knowledge and manage own development
*Specific knowledge of statistical analysis is expected
*Expert knowledge of relatively complex analytical techniques, tools and systems
*Degree qualified or significant relevant business experience.
*Financial acumen and skills, including budgetary skills.
*Expert understanding of local organisation and of other functions.
*In-depth understanding of quality assurance requirements, techniques and processes.
*Expert understanding of business information tools/processes.
*Good knowledge of relevant regulatory environment(s), relevant regulations, processes and procedures, demonstrating good business understanding
*Excellent planning and organisational skills, proven by track record of quality delivery and adherence to timescales.
*Ability to build and maintain effective relationships up to Head of Department to improve business performance including ability to influence and challenge.
*Understanding of financial crime prevention
*Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both oral and written (inc. presentation skills).
