BSS Telecoms Product Tester

Our client are expanding their pre-sales & TSD team, with focus on telecom application and software field, including online charging system(OCS), convergent billing, next generation intelligent network(NGIN), UNIX, SS7, CAMEL, Diameter. This team is responsible for exploring and developing the market for telecom application software.

We are looking for a PRODUCT TESTER, to support BSS engineering delivery business to Partners or Customer on Application & Software products, which include Intelligent Network, Online Charging Systems (OCS), Messaging Services, Mediation and other Software Products.

You will be supporting our clients customers, mainly through the test phases of the project, all technical aspects and improve the relationship to their main Service Provider accounts in the UK.

TESTING SUPPORT:- - Supervising project Testing phases, including kick-off meeting with customers.
- Preparing ATP acceptance case and agreeing acceptance criteria with Partners.
- Manage and execute Interoperability testing (IOT), Preliminary acceptance testing (PAT), Product Functional testing, User acceptance Testing (UAT) and migration testing.
- Play a lead role in E2E product testing and customer acceptance.
- Product debugging and liaise with relevant product expats to resolve the technical issues.
- Produce daily progress reports and follow-up issue list with relevant teams.
- Interface with engineering partner to locate technical problems that may arise during the engineering or testing process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and minimum 4+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of Prepaid/Telecoms technologies 2G/3G network architecture and troubleshooting, Preferably Online Charging System (OCS), Intelligent Networks and VAS technologies.
- Very good understanding of Oracle Database and its administration.
- Have extensive hands on experience on mobile IN network integration, testing and debugging eg tcpdumps.
- Good understanding of Global Disaster recovery solution of a telecom application
- Deep understanding of different telecom protocols like Diameter, SS7 (TCAP, CAP, MAP), UNIX, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, SIP
- Extensive knowledge of IT elements eg (XML, webservices, CDR analysis etc.)
- Deep knowledge of Suse Linux and basic understanding of Unix Shell Scripting.
- Experience in with operational environment.
- Experience working within BSS product testing environment.
- Fluent communication in English.
- Able to work under pressure.
