BSCS Support Engineer

Required to support the operation of the BSCS billing platform, including help desk, operational support and business consulting services, according to agreed procedures and Service Level Agreement. To provide Software updates according to the product roadmap

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the organization and maintain day-to-day communication with the customer
- Status reporting towards the customer and internally
- Problem handling:

* Troubleshooting: analysis, defect self-detection and together with the Global Support; prioritization, defect reporting and management
* Providing a workarounds to the customer
* Perform Customer Support Requests handling
* Perform escalation to Global Support If the CSR cannot be answered/solved within the time limit
* Monitor the CSR while an answer/solution is created
* Review the answer/solution received from Global Support
* Present the answer/solution to the customer and closure of the CSR
* Perform emergency duty

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years (4-5 for Senior position) Full time working experience within Billing area - after completing degree
- Experience in maintenance and support of large-scale mission-critical computer systems
- Working experience with BSCS billing product lines
- Unix-based OS administration and maintenance
- Experience with IP/telecom traffic analyzers and ability to analyze traces
- Programming experience
- Database experience

Technical Expertise:
- Basic knowledge of IT and Telecom standards (GSM, 3G, IN, Billing)
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, routing;
- Knowledge of programming languages, like Java, C++, Perl, Shell, etc.( is an advantage)
- Knowledge of database technologies, Oracle preferably
- Knowledge of telecommunication BSS/OSS is an advantage
- Knowledge of Unix-like operating systems, Sun Solaris preferably
- Knowledge of the following protocols: Diameter, HTTP(s), Radius, FTP, SFTP, Rlogin, SSH, Telnet ( is an advantage )
- Networking experience, eg switch, Router, Firewall, Servers etc. configuration/installation experience ( is an advantage)
